Teaching

Kathryn has been teaching since 1996 privately and at various schools, state and public, and for local music services. She teaches mainly clarinet and saxophone but also flute and music theory. She also teaches a variety of styles including classical and jazz. She can accompany on the piano up to about grade 6 standard and can teach aural and improvisation. She uses either the Associated Board or the Trinity Guildhall exam syllabus. She has taken various ensembles at school including wind bands and a clarinet choir and quartet, and often arranges the music especially to suit the abilities of the players involved.

Kathryn is an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher enjoys teaching all age ranges and all standards.
